Taleo customers report 97% satisfaction rate and major improvements in talent management processes in first independent customer survey

Taleo, a provider of talent management solutions, today released findings from its first independent customer survey conducted by CedarCrestone, a consulting organisation. The survey, ìTaleo Value and Customer Satisfaction Study,î revealed an industry-leading customer satisfaction rate of 97 percent and significant improvements and cost savings attributable to the use of Taleoís talent management solutions.

In the survey, customers report that the top business challenge Taleo helps to solve is improving and reducing the cost of manual and inconsistent staffing processes. By using Taleo, customers are not only able to improve time to hire and overall staffing processes, but also provide visibility into business performance through real-time staffing metrics, and improve the quality and effectiveness of their workforce.

Additional report findings:
Customers report multiple areas of value through Taleo with the top three being process standardisation, process efficiency, and more visibility into talent management metrics.

On average, Taleo customers report a time to hire of 35 days compared with the industry average of 48 days.

Fifty percent of customers report decreased cost per hire of at least 30 percent.

Taleo is most frequently selected over other solutions due to its comprehensive feature set and broad based functionality of the applications.

The top three Taleo functional areas most frequently used by Taleo customers are Reporting and Metrics, Workforce Mobility, and the ability to segment out top or ìACEî candidates.

Top rated support services included verbal communication, effectiveness of online tools, and quality of product documentation.

ìAs a leader in the travel and hospitality industry, we operate in more than 125 Hyatt Hotels & Resorts in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. With Taleo, we manage our external hiring and internal mobility processes for approximately 40,000 employees, with 80 percent being hourly workers,î stated Randy Goldberg, Executive Director of Recruiting, Hyatt Hotels Corporation. ìSince our Taleo implementation, we have increased productivity and reduced hiring cycle time by 50 percent, standardised reporting for regulatory compliance, and reduced advertising expenditures by 50 percent.î

ìThis survey validates several trends we have been studying including the increasing attention and budget for talent management solutions, as well as the focus on standardising and establishing clear staffing processes,î said Alexia Martin, Director of Research and Analytics, CedarCrestone, and author of this report. ìWe commend Taleo for delivering significant value and performance results to its customers. In addition, by having unbiased customer feedback, Taleo is further armed to deliver solutions that continue to improve its talent management offerings.î

ìSince our inception as a company, we have been focused on delivering value and business performance to our customers,î said Michael Gregoire, president and CEO, Taleo. ìBusiness success and financial performance are increasingly dependent on a companyís ability to attract, retain and develop talent. As shown in this survey, our customers are realising the benefits of bringing process and efficiency to the increasingly complex task of assessing, acquiring, developing and aligning talent. The largest cost for most organisations today is labour, and the ability to align that talent to effectively execute on business objectives is a critical success factor.î

The comprehensive, independent survey conducted and compiled by CedarCrestone, garnered 107 responses from 91 different companies. Key industries represented include high technology, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare and retail with the majority of respondents being long-term users of Taleo solutions.
