stv has today announced the launch of its new online classified recruitment service, stvjobs.com.

The recruitment site, which officially launches on Sunday 8 February, is the first phase in the development of stvís new classified business. The site will be supported by a multi-million pound media campaign including TV, Radio, Cinema, Online, Direct and Outdoor Advertising.

Teaser adverts have been running on stv over the last week, with a 40 second advert hitting TV screens on Sunday evening and Outdoor Advertising being revealed on Monday 9 February.

stvís recruitment service provides the tools for Scottish job seekers to showcase themselves and already hosts thousands of jobs right across Scotland. Developed by stv in partnership with respected technology partner Madgex, the site offers outstanding functionality, performance, design and usability to provide job seekers with the best possible user experience.

With key features including standard and premium job postings, recruiter micro-sites, candidate profile database, CV creator, careers advice and email campaigns, stvjobs.com introduces a new world-class service to both advertisers and job seekers.

The classified business will be managed by stvís Head of Classified, Mike Ferguson. Mike joins stv from recruitment business s1jobs.com and will be supported by an experienced local sales force, based at stvís Glasgow headquarters.

The launch of stvjobs.com will be supported by an innovative advertising campaign on stv and on outdoor sites across Scotland. The striking campaign, which was created by The Union and produced by stv Creative, features a group of men and women dressed to represent a range of industry sectors, including health and beauty, emergency services and local business. Standing in a formation, the group performs a ëjob seekers danceí, inspired by traditional war dances.

stv will continue to develop and expand the classified business through 2009 and beyond.
