Staff motivation entirely responsibility of HR manager?

Survey reveals 97% disagree

A recent survey has revealed that 97% of HR managers and executives believe staff motivation and morale should not be entirely the responsibility of HR managers.

The survey of 268 HR personnel was undertaken by Incentive World, the UK’s largest promotional marketing, incentive and motivation event to find out how many companies are running motivation and incentive schemes and who within the company should be responsible for staff motivation and morale.

The survey also revealed that more than two thirds (67%) of the organisations who responded operate an employee motivation & incentive benefits programme and of these more than 45% use vouchers as part of their programme.

Versha Carter, Event Director, ’These figures highlight that more and more companies are realising the importance of incentives and motivation. With this in mind, we have focused Incentive World 2004 on rewarding employees, driving sales and attracting customers.

The exhibition will include an extensive seminar programme which will demonstrate the use and value of incentive and motivation programmes and offer powerful and creative ideas to those who already run such schemes.

Incentive World 2004 is an ideal opportunity to uncover new ideas and solutions for incentive schemes, achievement awards, motivation programmes, incentive and group travel and business gifts plus much more.

Incentive World 2004 is taking place at Earls Court, London on 20, 21, 22 April 2004 and will once again fall within National Incentive & Motivation Week. The Week was established in 2003 by Incentive World to promote the value of promotional marketing and the incentive and motivation industry throughout the UK.
