Bond Teamspirit, the provider of modular yet fully integrated HR and Payroll software, has been used by South Kesteven District Council to provide its payroll software for the past fifteen years. South Kesteven District Council has recently broadened its relationship with Bond Teamspirit by upgrading to now include an employee self service module.
South Kesteven is one of seven districts in Lincolnshire, with a population of approx 13,000. The Council is one of the largest employers in the area and staff work side-by-side with 58 democratically-elected councillors.
Having used the Bond Teamspirit software for a considerable period of time, South Kesteven District Council decided to deploy the employee self service module in order to save administration time and allow employees to have control over their own information. The self service module enables employees to input their own data including updating bank details, inputting overtime and expenses, as well as offering the option to receive e-payslips.
James Thompson, Exchequer Services Officer, South Kesteven District Council, comments, “After consideration of the various payroll providers, we chose the Bond Teamspirit software because it provided everything we required from an integrated system. The software is flexible, and allows us to design our own screens and reporting structures. It will therefore provide us with valuable employee information as it is required. As well as the Payroll software, we have also put in place the employee self service functionality which has been very well received by employees.”
Thompson concludes, “The Bond Teamspirit employee self service functionality is currently being used by 500 office based employees – this alone has resulted in time savings with the generation and distribution of manual payslips, we hope to have all employees on the self service functionality within the next year.
