SnagAJob.com reaches major milestone

Hourly job seeker registrations top 7 million

Seven million U.S. workers ñ a number comparable to the collective number of Americans who work in grocery stores, department stores, hotels and motels, pharmacies and drug stores, and residential construction ñ have sought hourly jobs through SnagAJob.com.

Now ranked as the No. 1 most-visited hourly job-posting site (and the fifth most-visited of all job-posting sites)*, SnagAJob.com recently reached the 7 million registration threshold just seven years since the companyís web site went live in May 2000. In fact, the company registered more new job seekers in 2006 than it did in its first four years of business (2000-2004).

The number of registered job seekers has increased each year since the siteís launch, with SnagAJob.com recording a 70 percent increase in new registrations in 2006 as compared to 2005. Today, nearly a quarter-million new workers are registering monthly for hourly jobs on the companyís website.

ìThis 7-million registered job seeker milestone, coupled with the accelerated momentum in new registrations we have seen over the past few years, is validation of the power of online recruiting for hourly workers,î said Shawn Boyer, founder and chief executive officer of SnagAJob.com. ìWhile we will continue to make it easier for both employers and workers to connect online, we also look forward to helping provide a greater array of services to job seekers to help put them in the best possible position to find and keep the job they want.î

Once logged on to SnagAJob.com, job seekers can complete their profile once, and then can apply to multiple jobs online. Employers get pre-screened candidates quickly, and at a fraction of the cost of newspaper classifieds or other traditional media. This hiring approach has been highly successful for employers in retail, hospitality, healthcare, service, office administration, light industrial and various other industry categories.
