Simon Nash, a Regional Partner at Support Services Group talks about starting up on your own

Simon Nash, a Regional Partners at Support Services Group, The UKís leading Recruitment Business Incubator says when a downturn looms, this can potentially be an excellent time for an experienced entrepreneurial Recruitment Consultant working for a large Recruitment Company to start up on their own.

He states, lets face it the world does not stop on a downturn, it merely slows down Which means organisations tend to put future projects on hold, but still need to hire staff to keep existing projects and the company functioning on a daily basis.

He states, start up Recruitment companies have the ability to be much more competitive at negotiating favourable rates with clients as their overheads are much lower and Clients will be looking for better deals as they also have to tighten their belts.

Larger Recruitment Companies will be looking to make internal cutbacks in order to reduce financial losses, this will create an environment of uncertainty amongst recruiters and a negative fear factor is introduced which makes for a poor working environment. Not something a Dynamic individual wishes to be part of.

Starting up can be the inspiration for new ideas, creativity and innovative strategies. By being creative on your customers and staying open to new approaches you can come out of a recession with a sound business and a feeling of not just survival but achievement. Many successful companies have started in recessions, as it can be a time for untapped opportunities for the clever entrepreneurial recruiters who can spot them and take rapid action.

The Smartest and most successful innovators will firstly understand their clientís requirements and then tailor their services to meet the clientís needs using every tool at their disposal.

Support Services Group currently support 100ís of Recruitment Business across all industry sectors in the UK.

We work with budding entrepreneurs who would like to have their own recruitment business but have logistical & financial problems with the costs & legal complexities of both the launch & subsequent compliance of the new business.

What we provide:

Stage 1: The Business Launch:

ï LEGAL FORMATIONS: Our responsibilities include Company Formation, VAT & Inland Revenue compliance, Bank account set up, Payroll etc & also to ensure all of your legal documentation is appropriate.

ï CREATIVE PROVISION: We design your logo, business cards, business stationary & web site (not just a ëbrochure on-lineí).

ï TECHNICAL: We will organise broadband, web site domains & do all of the email & web hosting.

ï PHYSICAL: We will provide the hardware (laptop etc), the recruitment software (to actually do the job!) and bits & pieces youíll need to start.

All of this business launch assistance if free ñ you will pay nothing ñ not a penny. It is our investment in the future. There is no ëcome backí or deferred charge either.

Stage 2: Business Support
ï Accounts, VAT, PAYE, Taxation ñ Corporate & Personal.
ï Insurances, Payroll, Factoring, Cash Flow etc
ï Credit control, Invoicing, in-house recruitment etc

In addition, it is our objective to help with candidate procurement (job board access to Major job boards.)

All of work is completed to the highest standards and the cost entirely related the amount of money that you generate ñ you retain 70% of the billings and our charge is the remaining 30%. To be clear, if you do not generate income, we do not charge anything.

Too good to be true?
Absolutely not! We need you to be motivated, skilled, committed to owning a business and an exceptional recruiter.

Our goal is to help you to make money and build a business ñ if we do that, then we make our money too. Our existing clients (as we call the companies that we form) will vouch for the fact that this is no easy option ñ it is hard, exciting and extremely rewarding.

Risk?
Our risk is obvious: we spend money at the launch & make nothing unless we can help you be successful. Your risk? ñ well, you do not need to invest anything other than your talent and you also need to be ëliquidí enough to afford baked beans on toast for as long as it takes to generate your first placements!
The real ëriskí is doing nothing.

Next step:
Our preference is for a low key, relaxed and completely confidential chat on the telephone (My name is Simon Nash 0845 838 3550), followed by an equally gentle first meeting (somewhere convenient to both parties). So much depends upon the personal relationship which exists between SSG & our clients that we like to get to know you as well as you need to know us.
