SilkRoad celebrates successful first year in the UK

High profile organisations boost employee performance and engagement with SilkRoad’s employee-centric Life Suite

SilkRoad technology, a global provider of social talent management solutions, is celebrating its first year in the UK with impressive growth figures.

Among SilkRoad’s first UK customers is Britvic. The soft drinks giant has implemented SilkRoad’s applicant tracking solution, OpenHire. Britvic chose to work with SilkRoad following a lengthy testing process in which OpenHire outperformed its existing applicant tracking software.

“SilkRoad’s solution offers much more than our previous system,” comments James Tucker, GB Recruitment Manager, Britvic. “Not only does it save us money by enabling us to post on job boards directly without the need to pay an advertising agency, but it also allows us to find the best candidates by increasing our ability to pipeline effectively. The software is extremely user-friendly and successfully integrates with social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, providing us with a modern, relevant solution.”

SilkRoad was launched in the US in 2005 and entered the UK market in early 2011 with its Life Suite, a comprehensive range of social talent management solutions. SilkRoad’s UK suite offering includes OpenHire – a direct recruitment tool, RedCarpet for onboarding and life events (transfers, promotions, relocations, maternity, etc.), WingSpan - to assess and handle performance management and GreenLight - for training and learning management.

Flip Filipowski, chairman and CEO of SilkRoad, comments on SilkRoad’s UK entry: “This is an exciting time for SilkRoad. The UK market is hungry for new technologies and software that will improve their HR processes, and we believe there is a real demand for products that are both flexible and user-friendly, such as our unique onboarding and life events solution, RedCarpet.”

Leading SilkRoad in the UK market is Giles Hodson, managing director - UK, Netherlands & Nordics, whose wealth of experience spans all aspects of SaaS Talent Management Solutions.

With five million global Life Suite users, SilkRoad helps companies of all industries and sizes improve recruiting and onboarding efforts while building an empowered employee culture through performance, learning and HRMS solutions.

Later this year, SilkRoad will add to its range with the launch of SilkRoad Point. Due to be released in the first half of this year, Point is a new social enterprise solution that brings together the most compelling features of social networking, collaboration and community software while measuring the influence each contributor has within your organisation. It will allow employees to personalise their home page, join groups, share ideas and content and rank contributions based on their usefulness.

“Across all industries, our employee-centric HR solutions continue to help customers develop high performance, agile workforces,” said Filipowski. “Our customers are companies that recognise employees as their number one asset and who look to attract, retain and motivate top talent through innovative HR practices.  We believe that HR can drive strategic and financial performance by improving the employee experience.  Our goal is to initiate that change through our Life Suite solutions, one employee at a time.”
