SHL has launched pd360, a next generation 360* performance and development solution. Unlike other 360* products, pd360 offers support throughout the review process, from identifying key competencies for each role, to tailored development advice in response to the review.
pd360 combines an online 360* review, 50 standard job profiles, the SHL Universal Competency Framework(tm) and over 1,000 individual development tips to offer a truly holistic assessment and development programme. Using the SHL Bureau and these standard profiles, users can have an online 360* review arranged and delivered within 24 hours, with no set-up costs. Alternatively, clients can have a system in their own branding up and running in 4-6 weeks.
The 50 standard job profiles included in the product facilitate quick but comprehensive set-up of the reviews. Each role identifies the competencies most commonly associated with success and bases the review on these. Organisations can choose to accept these standard roles and competencies, or use them as the basis of their own.
Once a review is complete, users not only receive feedback on their performance, but also have access to a host of simple and easy to use development and coaching advice tailored specifically to them and their role.
Simon Raymond, commercial product manager, SHL, says: This latest product from SHL empowers everyone in an organisation. It not only provides HR professionals with a easy-to-use and effective performance evaluation tool, but it gives employees peace of mind that the review is a full and fair assessment of their progress against relevant measures.
Furthermore, many staff see development and training initiatives as something that have to be done to satisfy HR. This tool directly links reviews and development to their everyday jobs - making them real he concludes.
SHLís pd360 includes all of the features that you would expect to see in a 360* review, including:
- Secure online access for raters and assessors
- The ability to compare how individuals have rated themselves versus how others have rated them
- The option to group those rating an individual by manager, colleague, direct reports and customers (internal or external) and to keep raters confidential
- Flexibility to repeat a review as often as required - and monitor changes over time.
In addition to many of the key functionalities that have never been available before in an off the shelf system, users also have the flexibility to select only those behaviours critical to doing the job and the option to produce management reports that aggregate data for teams, departments or job functions.
The product is available to purchase in three formats:
- Bureau System - a pay-as-you-go service available over the Internet
- Standard System - a client branded system enabling unique job profiles to be used
- Bespoke System - a tailored system that can incorporate a clients bespoke competency model.
