Robert Half Raises 5,000 for Moto Neurone Disease Association

UK Managing Director Phil Sheridan Completes London to Paris Charity Bicycle Ride

Robert Half has raised over 5,000 for its corporate charity, the Moto Neurone Disease (MND) Association following the completion of a four day charity bicycle ride from London to Paris by UK Managing Director Phil Sheridan.

The bike ride started early on Wednesday 3rd June in South East London and saw the riders cycling approximately 120km per day, before finishing under the arches of the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Saturday 6th June. Over 200 cyclists took part in the ride, which was organised by charity fundraising event website Doitforcharity.com.

Commenting on the experience, Phil Sheridan said: ìRiding from London to Paris in support of the Motor Neurone Disease Association was an outstanding experience and one that I'm proud to have been a part of. There were some challenging points during the ride but nothing I encountered comes close to comparing to what the individuals fighting this disease and their families endure. I was honoured to be able to do my small part in raising awareness for this cause. Now I look forward to participating in more awareness and fund raising programmes alongside the entire UK Robert Half team.î

The MND Association is Robert Halfís UK corporate charity for 2009. The London to Paris bike ride is the first in a series of summer fundraising events and activities that are planned by Robert Half staff, including triathlons, skydives and charity quiz nights to name a few.

Motor Neurone disease affects around 5,000 people in the UK at any one time. It can strike adults regardless of age or gender and is currently incurable. The MND Association is a national organisation working to help individuals with this neurological condition that affects muscle mobility.
