The Retail Appointment is set to host its inaugural Retail Appointment Live! Exhibition as it aims to build on recent optimism and positive employment figures by bringing retail jobseekers and hiring employers together under one roof. Held at the Marriot Grosvenor Square, Grosvenor Square, London on 25-26 September, the event will provide a series interactive workshops and the opportunity for attendees to discuss current career opportunities with the exhibitors – some of the UK’s leading retail and hospitability brands.
With sale volumes rising particularly strongly amongst grocers, chemists and furniture & carpet retailers in August[1], employment on the high street has also grown as it rises at the fastest rate since November 2013 with retailers’ investment intentions for the year ahead also strengthening. The Retail Appointment Live! will build on these figures as it aims to get more people into employment as we head into the final quarter of 2014.
Amongst the features at the event is an extensive seminar programme. Hosted by leading industry figures and personalities, the programme includes a seminar on general interview do’s and don’ts; tips on how to get a promotion; and surviving assessment centres.
Exhibitors at the event will also be available to discuss their current employment opportunities with attendees as they seek to fill new management, head office and sales-based roles.
