Regional online listings and community website OurPatch has launched Australiaís first full-feature ìregionalî jobs board for advertisers and applicants.

The new service will allow job-seekers and advertisers to search for jobs in rural and regional Australia without being restricted to specific towns and cities.

OurPatch managing director Simon van Wyk said the service was established in response to a surge in traffic to OurPatchís employment section.

ìThe major online job boards often only list jobs by generic location, which doesnít take into account the many regional centres which are within commuting distance of each other,î said van Wyk.

ìWe also felt regional businesses were being forced to pay capital city prices for job advertising. OurPatch charges $30 per listing, as opposed to the almost $200 fees of the major jobs boards.î

OurPatch is a network of websites for rural and regional Australian towns that offers the people in those towns everything they need on the internet. This includes community and business listings, forums and events.

As search engine optimisation (SEO) experts, OurPatch ensures businesses in regional Australia appear in Google searches. This same expertise will also benefit job seekers and advertisers.

Employers looking for the right people to fill job vacancies in rural and regional Australia will optimise their chances by listing in OurPatch.

OurPatch has entered into an agreement with JOBX to white label and power the job boards across the range of regional sites it is rolling out on a national basis.

JOBXís combined sites are already attracting good numbers of unique browsers via natural search results. The current combined ënaturalí traffic is approximately 10,000 per day. This will grow exponentially as the above sites and more are rolled out. JOBX has over 250,000 registered members across its network of sites.
