Staff from local recruitment business SkyBlue swapped a stuffy day in the office for overalls and paintbrushes.

The team, based on The Grove Road in Stratford, descended on Maryland Primary School to deliver a complimentary makeover that would make ëGround Forceí proud, including re-painting playground markings and creating a nature garden.

Part of support services and construction company Carillion, SkyBlue is getting its hands dirty to demonstrate the businessís commitment to giving something back to the community.

ìWe welcomed SkyBlueís offer of assistance,î says the schoolís deputy headmaster, Lorraine Cooper, ìbecause it has been proven that the physical environment in which children are educated has a significant impact on their ability to learn.

ìSkyBlue has done a fantastic job. Iím sure the children will really enjoy and benefit from the improved outside spaces at the school.î

SkyBlue branch manager, Chris Hall added: ìWeíre always looking for ways of impacting positively within the community and this project seemed like the perfect opportunity.

ìIf we get the chance weíd be happy to develop a more long term relationship with the school.î
