A Birmingham-based specialist recruitment firm has rubber-stamped its acquisition of prestigious new headquarters in the city after receiving a £500,000 financial package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, a move which is set to create around 25 new jobs in the next three years.

The bank’s funding was used alongside a supplementary investment from the directors at Alexander Daniels Limited to secure the 4,500 sq. ft. building in St. Paul’s Square, located close to the firm’s current rented office.

Having acquired the building in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter the firm has now begun a six-month renovation of the property. It is planning to create an iconic and high-specification luxury office environment, bringing its interior in-line with its prestigious surroundings.

Founded in 2010, Alexander Daniels is a recruitment firm specialising in finance and accounting, corporate governance, engineering and healthcare, and has established a strong reputation for supporting businesses in the Midlands and across the UK.

The firm has also launched a new global arm, and has already worked with clients from as far afield as Hong Kong and the USA.

The move into the five-storey building will offer the business the space it needs to realise its ambitious growth plans, as it aims to strengthen each of its divisions, and double its current 26-strong team by 2018.

Nick Pearce, Director of Alexander Daniels, said: “We pride ourselves on working with the best candidates for highly sought after jobs, and our acquisition of the property, as well as the current renovation work, is a real mission statement about the quality of the service we offer.

“This is an exciting time for the company as we look to continue to add new global clients whilst growing our specialist team, and the ongoing support of Lloyds Bank has been invaluable in allowing us to outline our vision.”

Philip Hyde, Relationship Manager at Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “Alexander Daniels has enjoyed impressive growth since it was established five years ago, and it’s clear that a move into its own larger premises can only benefit the company going forward.

“We’re pleased to have worked with the firm’s management team on this important acquisition which leaves the company well placed to realise its ambitions to expand, and we look forward to supporting the firm as it continues to grow.”
