Recruiters positive about the year ahead

A survey by Broadbean Technology found that 93.7% of recruiters are confident that 2008 will be a good year for business

A survey by Broadbean Technology found that 93.7% of recruiters are confident that 2008 will be a good year for business.

Despite growing concern about economic slowdown, stemming from problems with the US housing market, recruiters are positive about the year ahead. Broadbean, the company that puts millions of jobs in front of millions of candidates every month, asked recruiters from a range of sectors, ìWhat do you predict the market will be like next year?î Over a quarter of respondents foresee a buoyant future, and less than seven percent envisage that business will be bad.

The consensus among Broadbean users, who vary from single user recruitment companies to blue-chip multinationals, was that business was good at the moment; 89.5 percent said that the recruitment market was average or above.

Dan Cohen, Head of Consultancy Sales says of the findings, ìI am not surprised about the results. After spending time in the US recently and speaking with a number of staffing agencies about their thoughts on the economy, responses were very positive. We can see this trend reflected in the ever increasing level of sales that we are achieving in the UK, US and Europe. Broadbean is in the fortunate position that no matter where the market lies, good or bad, our source tracking tools will continue to work out agencies ROI on their online spends, in turn saving them a very large percentage of their advertising budget.î
