A recent Barkers survey has highlighted Prospects.ac.uk as the careers website of choice for job-seeking students and graduates.

85% of respondents cited Prospects.ac.uk as their favoured careers website, placing it significantly ahead of rivals. Furthermore, Prospects can confirm that it has a record 172,869 final-year students registered to use its website.

Reaffirming its position as market leader, this record haul equates to 64% of finalists, making it the most widely-used graduate recruitment website.

Year-on-year this demonstrates growth by a third, highlighting Prospectsí continued drive for attracting new registrants.

This builds on already impressive user numbers for the Prospects.ac.uk website. The latest ABCe audit (March 2008) confirms that the site attracts 739,119 unique users each month. Being one of the only graduate careers websites to be regularly audited, Prospects is transparent and committed to the user figures it quotes.

The research was conducted Barkers, producers of the annual National Graduate Media Audit, in April 2008 and surveyed around 1,700 students, recent graduates and careers service professionals through a mix of online surveys, focus groups and telephone interviews.

As the UKís official graduate careers website, Prospects.ac.uk works closely with graduate recruiters and university careers services across the UK to provide the information and services that graduate job seekers need.

Prospectsí unique relationship with university careers services across the UK continues to have a significant and beneficial impact on the provision of careers information. 98% of respondents from university careers services use Prospects.ac.uk more than once a week and 92% of careers service professionals regularly refer students and graduates to Prospectsí products and services.

In addition to an unrivalled print portfolio and online offering, Prospects continues to innovate and develop its resources for users. Email messaging (230,256 registered users) and SMS messaging (39,933 registered users) constantly gain new registrants, supported recently by the introduction of new video profiles, enhancements to digital magazines and an increasingly popular presence on Facebook.
