The campaign, titled “Careers Like No Other”, aimed to attract high quality applicants to Aldi’s competitive Area Manager scheme. It engaged prospective applicants in content-rich and interactive formats, utilising messaging that questioned candidates’ character in order to ‘self-screen’ applicants. Aldi was keen to recruit graduates that had determination and grit, and this messaging was consistent throughout to attract the best candidates.
A successful campaign Aldi engaged with 60 universities, creating a Facebook following of 30,000 from a recruitment base of none.
Julie Towers, Managing Director of Penna Recruitment Solutions, said: “We are thrilled to win the Best Candidate Engagement award for our work with Aldi. We continue to develop innovative and effective campaigns for our client’s recruitment needs which challenge perceptions and deliver results. It is a huge testament to the success of our campaigns to be able to win the recognition of our peers in the industry through the RAD Awards.”
Penna was shortlisted in four other categories at this year’s RAD Awards for its work with GCHQ, the Met Police and Aldi.
