Just months after exhibiting at this yearís HR Software Show in London, fast growing payroll and HR software company PayGlobal is finalising its first major UK sale.
PayGlobal entered the United Kingdom in mid-2003, establishing an office in Reading. It was a major international expansion for the company, which has been hugely successful in both the New Zealand and Australian markets. In New Zealand it has more than 30% of its target market.
PayGlobal UK manager, Grant Taylor, says exhibiting at this yearís HR Software Show has paid early dividends.
ìPeople at the show were very impressed by the integrated nature of PayGlobal. They appreciate how they could save time and money by having payroll, human resources, time and attendance, and other people management functions running from a single database.î
Mr Taylor says another factor in the productís favour is its flexible design structure, which allows consultants to configure payment and award rules without hard coding.
ìThis approach means that we can prove the concept of the product in a sales situation. Prospects have given us examples of their most complex payment/award rules and we have been able to show in product demonstrations how the software can handle their particular needs.î
Mr Taylor says the strong interest in PayGlobal at HRSS has created a healthy pipeline of potential clients.
ìWe do have an established base of UK clients who are subsidiaries of Australasian companies using the PayGlobal system. However, to be finalising our first major UK-sourced sale soon after the show is very positive.î
PayGlobal attributes the productís success in the UK to a demanding client base in both Australia and New Zealand.
ìWeíve always welcomed client input and feedback because that has helped us to build a robust yet very flexible product with functionality that clients truly need,î says PayGlobal CEO Donald Hastie.
ìPeople want an integrated payroll and HR system that they can roll out incrementally, which is what we offer. Also, because weíre very much an innovative company, our clients are assured that they are buying a system that will match their needs both now and into the future.î
PayGlobal is currently developing a ìthird generationî payroll product called GlobalPay, which has been built using .NET technology. The concept was launched at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto in July this year.
ìGlobalPay is leading-edge technology,î Mr Hastie says. ìWe believe it is the worldís first fully scalable payroll, able to work in multiple geographies. Itís a perfect example of our dedication to innovation.î
GlobalPay payroll will be available within PayGlobal in 2005 and is also being integrated into Microsoft Business Solutions Axapta and Great Plains.
PayGlobal was recently named NZ Microsoft Software Company of the Year 2004. It is the second year in a row that the company has won the award.
