Oriel Support Reacts Positively to Floods

.

Due to the effects of Julyís flooding, Oriel Support, which provides complete financial back office solutions to recruitment agencies, has relocated its payroll, accounts and risk teams to Swindon to guarantee ongoing payment to many thousands of temporary workers.

As mains water supplies were cut off, Oriel Support directors Su Copley and Adrian Stalley quickly actioned the companyís disaster recovery plan. After considerable consultation, it was decided that certain departments needed to move out of the county so that normal service could be resumed. The choice of location became the Landmark Hotel in Swindon, due to its speed of response and extensive resources.

By the Monday afternoon, teams were up and running in the temporary office, allowing Oriel Support to process the payrolls and offer its top quality service without significant disruption to business. This was made possible due to Orielís fully automated online system Orion, which has been designed to be accessed from anywhere in the UK. By calculating all aspects of the payroll function as the data is entered, consultants can run reports and maintain real-time control of their accounts.

Su Copley explained: ìOur number one priority was to get temporary workers paid on time. When we arrived at the office on Monday morning to no tap water, we knew that we had to take measures to make sure our employees could do their jobs properly and comfortably. The hotel in Swindon proved a very successful solution.

ìI would like to thank all of our staff for their dedication and commitment, as well as our agencyís for their patience in what has been a very testing time. By working together, we have ensured that each and every one of the temporary workers have been, and will continue to be, paid.î
