OPP’s MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) practitioner training will become a quicker and more rounded learning experience following the launch of a new-format qualifying programme meaning fewer days spent out of the office.
After reviewing the findings of customer research, OPP has incorporated more blended learning techniques into the MBTI practitioner training process. Classroom time will be reserved for practical aspects of the training such as group and interactive activities, whilst online distance learning is to be used for getting to grips with MBTI theory and parts of the feedback process.
OPP is the sole European distributor of MBTI, the most widely used personality assessment tool in the world, and has trained over 7,500 people in the UK to become qualified as MBTI practitioners. MBTI is widely used by businesses of all sizes and in a wide range of sectors to develop teams, improve retention, coach leaders and enhance communication within organisations.
Ingrid Manning, head of learning at OPP comments: “We listened to our customers’ feedback and were keen to minimise their time out of the office without compromising the depth and quality of their learning.
“We’ve replaced a day of classroom training with interactive distance learning, so participants can discover the power of the MBTI framework at their own pace. Time spent together with other delegates will now focus on experiential learning and lead participants to identify their own path for further exploration of MBTI applications. There is also a bigger focus on building practitioner confidence in applying and making relevant their MBTI insights.”
The newly named MBTI Foundation Programme provides simple, practical and relevant tools throughout the course to enable participants to start applying MBTI Type and is supported by several newly developed MBTI training materials. The first MBTI Foundation Programme has just taken place in Oxfordshire and is now set to roll out across OPP’s European training centres.
