Online recruitment company, Third Sector jobs shows record job seeker growth – again!

Traffic to Third Sector jobs – the specialist job site for the charity and not-for-profit sector – has grown from 20,000 unique users to more than 90,000 since its launch in 2006

Traffic to Third Sector jobs – the specialist job site for the charity and not-for-profit sector – has grown from 20,000 unique users to more than 90,000 since its launch in 2006.

The figures, which also show a 25 per cent rise in users in the past year, were audited by ABC Electronic (ABCe), an independent not-for-profit body that measures website performance.

Third Sector jobs is the only website in its sector to independently audit site traffic using the recognised UK media industry benchmark, ABCe, and thus the only site that can give recruiters independently audited information about the number of potential candidates viewing their adverts.
ìThese new ABCe results represent our highest ever traffic figures,î said Simon Devitt, online publishing director at Haymarket Business Media.

The ABCe audit forms part of the National Online Recruitment Audience Survey (NORAS) which when combined with audited traffic figures provides detailed demographic information. This is the third year that ThirdSectorJobs has taken part in the survey.

The results show that:

Third Sector jobs has the highest percentage of total users working within the charity and voluntary sector actively looking online for new employment opportunities, as well as the largest percentage of total users who have then actually applied for a job online.

The percentage of total users from a fundraising background using Third Sector jobs is higher than any other site participating in NORAS 2009.

Devitt added: ìThese results clearly demonstrate that Third Sector jobs continues to respond and evolve to market demand from those looking to start a career in the charity and not-for-profit sector, be that in the fundraising, marketing, communication and senior managementî

This dramatic increase in the number of job seekers and advertisers using Third Sector jobs – more than 400 per cent since 2006 and more than 25 per cent since 2008 – is the result of ongoing development to create an easy-to-use site for jobseekers and a successful, dependable site where recruiters can fill vacancies.
