O2 UK today announces that Dominic Mahony has been appointed to the position of UK HR Director, reporting to CEO Matthew Key. The UK role was previously undertaken by Andrew Harley, Group HR Director, in addition to his Group responsibilities, which he retains.
Dominic Mahonyís role at O2 will be to drive forward O2ís people strategy, which focuses on making O2 an even better place to work, enabling O2 people to put customers at the heart of everything they do.
Prior to joining O2, Dominic was HR Director at TUI UK, a leading holiday company best known for the Thomson brand. He joined Thomson Holidays in September 2000 and has worked as part of a team which has radically streamlined and modernised that business over the past five years to ensure it is fit to compete in the 21st century.
Before Thomson, Dominic worked for Tesco for 11 years in a variety of roles in the UK and overseas as Tesco HR director in France and as part of the team which set up Tesco’s business in Asia.

Dominic is married with two children and when not at work enjoys, cinema, good food and wine and recreational cycling.
