Matrix SCM are pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Weston as Sales and Implementation Director and Rachel Slater as Shared Services Director.

Weston joins Matrix SCM from Comensura, where he was responsible for overseeing all of the companyís sales, marketing and implementation activities across both the public and private sectors. Weston was one of the founding members of Comensura and sat on the board of directors prior to taking up his position with Matrix

Slater also joins the team from Comensura and will take up the position as Shared Services Director for Matrix. Slater will be responsible for embedding an enhanced technology solution into the business and ensuring central functions are streamlined and client-centric.

ìMatrix is one of the most exciting companies in the industryî, Weston comments, ìWith the business at a very exciting stage of their growth, both Rachel and I are delighted to be joining the team. We will be focusing heavily on developing new areas of the business and penetrating new areas of supply chain management and are looking forward to the next few months.î

Ian Wolter, CEO of Matrix said: ìUK government spending on shared services will rocket over the next five years as demand for centralised and packaged services increases. Matrix must therefore be able to offer the public sector a comprehensive range of supply chain management solutions outside of the traditional HR Services we provide to clients today. In order for us to achieve this step change within the business it was important to have the right people on board, Andrew and Rachelís proven experience will be invaluable in helping us take the business forward into new areas of supply chain management.î

Matrix SCM is a stand alone business within the HBHC group. It provides a cost-effective means for local authorities and purchasing consortiums to target directly the e-procurement ideals set out in the 2004 Gershon Review of Public Sector Efficiency and is aligned with governmentís Comprehensive spending review.
