The 1.54 million unique visitors who log on to Australian employment site, www.seek.com.au, this month will encounter a new home page with improved navigation and search facilities based around industry specific sub-sites.

Key features of the new home page include a simplified quick search box, a full list of job classifications and a more prominent navigation bar for easier movement around the SEEK site.

Paul Bassat, SEEK CEO, said the new look website better reflects how job seekers search for jobs and will make it easier for advertisers to target candidates in specific industry sectors.

ìWe have drawn extensively on candidate research and feedback to drive the design and search changes. Each industry sector on SEEK now has its own page, listing the number of jobs available and allowing job seekers to narrow down their searches.î

For example, Sales & Marketing professionals can search for positions specific to their industry, from analyst to market research and account management positions. Individual industry pages offer more targeted advertising options to clients, to further improve candidate ëmatchí and deliver even greater value.

ìThe site also offers new personalised and timesaving features such as auto-login which negates the need for job seekers to enter the same login details each time they visit the site.

ìJob seekers can also use the search criteria from the last time they were on SEEK by clicking on the view results button in the new My Last Search section.

ìSEEK works hard to continuously improve and invest in the services we provide advertisers and job seekers, and this update to our home page is the latest example of that commitmentî, he said.
