New interactive video website from Jobsite

BeMyInterviewer.co.uk offers candidates interview practise with UKís leading bosses

Jobsite, one of the UKís leading online recruiters has launched ñ BeMyInterviewer.co.uk - the UKís first interactive video based website offering jobseekers interview practise with some of the UKís leading business bosses and HR managers.

Designed to help jobseekers prepare for job interviews and get better at converting job opportunities into offers, Jobsite has called in some well known business faces for launch and will be adding new business bosses to the site on a monthly basis to reflect the full breadth of industry sectors that Jobsite currently recruits across.

At launch, BeMyInterviewer.co.uk offers over 100 streamed videos of job interview questions from the likes of Duncan Bannatyne, serial entrepreneur and star of Dragonsí Den, Ruth Badger, businesswoman, consultant and runner up on The Apprentice, Jacqueline Gold, CEO of Ann Summers and Knickerbox and Kirsty MacCulloch Senior Project Manager for graduate recruiters Hobsons/GET.

BeMyInterviewer.co.uk offers users a unique insight into the minds of actual interviewers, whilst helping candidates gain a better understanding of certain organisations and sectors. The Q&A video format offers clear explanation into why certain interview questions are asked and what would make a good answer. The siteís functionality allows users to answer particular questions or sit through an entire interview so whether they have minutes or hours to prepare, the site aims to boost confidence, and help put an end to interview jitters.

According to a recent study of 5,000 adults by Jobsite1, candidatesí inability to sell themselves in interviews means that they are losing more than 2.3 billion a year in missed pay increases2. Similarly, recruiters are losing thousands of man hours on candidates unlikely to secure a placement unless they spend considerably more time practising for interviews and improving their interview technique.

The research reveals one in three jobseekers failed to receive a single job offer in the past year ñ 10 per cent of the UK population3. Poor interview technique was the single biggest reason for failure (11 per cent), with falling victim to nerves (11 per cent) or being out of interview practise (nine per cent) other major factors.

Commenting on the new BeMyInterviewer service Keith Potts CEO of Jobsite explains: ìMillions of job interviews will take place in the UK in 2008. BeMyInterviewer is for everyone who wants to succeed at interviews and is a great free service for recruiters to use to help candidates prepare for their next interview.î

ìAccording to recent Jobsite research, unprepared candidates are one of the top two biggest sources of frustration for UK recruiters. BeMyInterviewer can help jobseekers prepare for interviews in a completely new way, offering real interview practise with genuine business interviewers in a fun, interactive environment helping to make the jobhunting process easier and more enjoyable. We hope BeMyInterviewer will improve jobseeker confidence and in turn help recruiters to put better prepared candidates forward.î

The launch of BeMyInterviewer is supported by an integrated digital, PR and print advertising campaign. New business and HR bosses will be added to the site every month to reflect all Jobsite industry sectors.
