Moviecom Hired to produce online recruitment series for Sandra McClumpha

Award-winning Fake Bake boss offers job of a lifetime

Award-winning Scottish entrepreneur Sandra McClumpha is to host her own online television recruitment show to offer one successful candidate an opportunity of a lifetime.

Sandra, who brought Fake Bake artificial tanning creams to Britain, has teamed up with the showís creator, Scottish recruitment guru Greta Hill-Lyons.

The innovative online show, The Hirer, will be broadcast on www.thehirer.tv throughout September.

After submitting their video entries, Lanarkshire-based media technology company Moviecom TV will film Sandra putting the selected candidates through their paces over a monthís worth of challenging tasks.

Over 70 billboards across Scotland are advertising the sensational project and thousands of young hopefuls are already applying online to compete in this yearís greatest business venture.

Sandra is looking for raw talent and offering development along the way and the show will differ from reality shows such as The Apprentice by not firing candidates each week.

Instead, she will coach each of the eight candidates through the process, encourage them to develop their skills and build on their strengths. Two clear front runners will be identified at the penultimate stage to go head-to-head for the final.

Managing director of Moviecom TV Gillian OíNeil said: ìThis is a fantastic opportunity to work with someone with Sandraís profile. Fake Bake is now a household name, which has been endorsed by a host of celebrities already.

ìWeíre terrifically excited to be given the opportunity to work with such a personality on such an innovative show.

ìMoviecom will not only deliver the broadcast of The Hirer series on the Moviecom TV platform, but will also produce the movie content for the series throughout the various candidate tasks.

ìOur platform enables businesses to have their very own unique online TV channel and push video content out to multiple audiences.

ìWorking with The Hirer has allowed Moviecom TV to deepen our content, expand our portfolio and drive online traffic to the platform.î

The winner is unveiled at an exclusive private dinner, held in the central belt.

Greta Hill-Lyons is the founder of Forth Valley Jobs, Employment Scotland.co.uk, ScotJobs.uk.com and Appointments magazine.

She believes Scottish talent gets over looked in London based shows such as The Apprentice and this is why she is set about devising the first Scottish equivalent.

Greta said: ìI see so much raw talent in Scotland and I want to give everyone the opportunity to prove themselves and go on to work alongside one of Scotlandís most successful entrepreneurs.

ìThis really will be a life changing experience for someone who has the determination, drive and ambition to be the best.

ìIím thrilled at the enormous interest ëThe Hirerí has generated and Iím proud to be airing the show through a new innovative online format.î

Sandra McClumpha has recently acquired the patent for the Fake Bake brand in America. In a deal worth more than 10 million, the Scot bought the rights to the brand from founders Joe and Mary Cooper and will control distribution in Fake Bakeís home US market.

From the thousands of applications already received a second series of The Hirer is scheduled for 2009.

Moviecom TV creates online videos for companies. Recognised as ëYou Tubeí for business, the Moviecom TV service allows clients to brand their own TV channel.

The service also enables clients to track their audience, which acts as a powerful sales and marketing tool.
