Mouchel Parkman addresses UK engineering skills shortage by doubling graduate intake

Professional support services group Mouchel Parkman announces plans today to double the number of positions on its graduate development scheme

Professional support services group Mouchel Parkman announces plans today to double the number of positions on its graduate development scheme.

The new 18-month programme is now offering places for 200 graduates, from both engineering and non-engineering backgrounds, for its 2007 intake.

Graduates work on a range of real-life projects, with roles interspersed with graduate training events and developmental assignments. They also have the opportunity to work towards professional qualifications, including support in achieving chartered status.

Sarah Moyles, Graduate Recruitment and Development Manager at Mouchel Parkman, comments: ìThe engineering skills shortage is a major issue in our sector, both internationally and in the UK. We are welcoming more graduates to help strengthen the organisation and address the growing need for talented engineers. Graduates interested in joining the scheme can enjoy a challenging and varied engineering career, in a range of roles: from hands-on, purely technical positions, to those focusing more on project management.î
