Monsterís Performance Assessments Reduce the Cost of Recruitment

New online assessments will help employers quickly identify candidates with the greatest potential for success

London, 10 May 2007, Monster has launched a range of new online performance assessments to help employers better identify suitable candidates. The service is available on monster.co.uk and provides 15 different assessments for sector specific competencies.

Rob Brouwer, CEO of Monster UK and Ireland, highlights the benefits for employers. ìMonsterís Performance Assessments provide a valuable addition to Monsterís online portfolio of candidate screening tools, helping employers get the broadest picture of candidates during the recruitment process. Using the assessments to better understand candidates skills, ensures that employers need only ask the most suitable job seekers to interview. This reduces recruitment costs and increases the likelihood of finding a candidate that is a good fit for an organisation.î

Monster Performance Assessments have been developed in association with Development Dimensions International (DDI) and are based on scientifically validated research. The specially tailored tests enable employers to qualify job seekers against specific skills and aptitudes that have been shown to be essential for success in a given role. When taking the tests, candidates answer questions based on real work situations, helping employers to gain a sense of how potential employees will perform once in the job.

Designed for predicting a candidates’ absolute potential, this assessment tool is integrated into the Monster Job Postings as part of the candidate Apply Online flow. Each assessment takes job seekers less than ten minutes to complete. Once the assessments are complete, employers can view the score range and the question and answer report of each candidate. Employers are then able to create a shortlist of job seekers to consider for the next steps of the selection process.
