Making a career abroad

69 per cent of international skilled employees are interested in foreign jobs

ì69 per cent of international skilled employees are interested in foreign jobsî

In a recent poll by The Network, the Global leader in online Recruitment, more than half, 69% of the 49,785 skilled employees surveyed from 18 different countries revealed they were interested in working abroad.

39 per cent of all participants said a job in a foreign country was an option for them in any case. Another 30 per cent would accept an international job, if the specific job-offer fits.

The current poll shows that International specialists are actually more flexible than two years ago, where in 2006 a Network-study indicated a foreign job was interesting to only 62 per cent of participants.

Steven Lewis, Managing Director of The Network said: ìThe Network-poll suggests the labour market for qualified staff has become more and more global. Specialists are more open-minded to jobs abroad. This means that recruiters alike have to position themselves as an international employer brand, to win the global war for talents. We are convinced that International recruitment will become an important part of companies HR-strategy moving forwardî.

The poll revealed Ukraine specialists to be the most flexible with 84% saying they would like to work abroad. 82 per cent of Baltic specialists from Lithuania said they too would like to work abroad and 79 per cent in Estonia.

On the contrary, the poll revealed 65 per cent of Polish employees only wanted to work only in Poland.
