LG Electronics today announces that it has appointed Paul Moran as the HR director for the UK and Ireland. Reporting into LGís UK president, Brian Na, he will be responsible for creating, implementing and driving forward LGís people strategy.
In his new role, Paul is focused on driving business transformation by raising the quality of LGís HR service and delivery. In particular, he will look at strengthening the high performance culture, attracting the industryís top talent, and building programmes to enhance LGís capabilities across all areas of the business.
Commenting on his appointment, Paul says, ìLG has experienced considerable growth over the last few years, becoming one of the strongest and most visible consumer electronics brands in the UK and at a global level. A key aspect of my role is to ensure employees are engaged, effective, and energised so that LG is positioned as one of the top companies to work for.î
Paul joins LG from Rockwell Automation where he held the position of HR director for North EMEA. Previous to that he ran his own strategy consultancy after gaining a wealth of experience from his 24 years at Siemens, located in China, the USA, Belgium, Germany and the UK.
Paul has previously presented at the World Economic Forum on international HR. He has four post graduate degrees in HR, Marketing, Management and an MBA. He is also currently studying Business Strategy at the University of Bristol. Paul is a member of the CIPD.
