In an unprecedented move for the banking industry, BANKSERV will now offer South Africaís only job board, Career Exchange exclusively dedicated to the banking sector.
BANKSERV members in South Africa have not only recognized the need to implement shared services such as ATM, Electronic transfers and cheque clearing but to also include services such as the recruiting function. ì It has been recognized that the banking industry needs to attract more good people; people who could otherwise choose a different industry as a career path,î states Ulf Jonsson, consultant with MrTed Ltd. For the banks themselves, MrTed TalentLink is implementing sites that the individual member banks will control. As BANKSERV is a ìdatabaseî, member by member control is required allowing each bank easy access and updating of
job listings. In addition, compliance issues are extremely important for South Africa as Black Economic Empowerment regulations must be strictly adhered to.
