As National Temporary Workers Week (6th- 10th June) kicks off to raise awareness of the one million plus temporary workers who go out on assignment every week in the UK, Key Personnel, one of the longest established recruitment consultancies in the East Midlands, celebrates the successful placement of literally thousands of temporary workers across the East Midlands over the past 20 years.
National Temporary Workers Week is a REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) initiative to create awareness of the íinvisible workforceí and the valuable contribution they make to the UK economy. Key Personnel, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary of providing temporary and permanent staff to companies in the East Midlands, fully supports its goals:
ìTemporary workers account for a significant and valuable proportion of the Nottinghamshire workforce,î said Sherrine Swallow, General Manager of Key Personnel. ìThe temporary workers on our books fill a whole range of clerical, secretarial, accounting, computer, and managerial positions across the region. We applaud the RECís goals of promoting the diversity of professions which make up this workforce and of recognising the temporary workers for the services they provide.î
As part of the RECís campaign, the flagship ëOne in a Millioní award will honour one outstanding worker among the million plus temporary staff who keep the country running every week. An Award for Employer Excellence will be presented to the employer that best integrates temporary workers into the workplace.
In addition, Key plans to recognise and reward its ëTop Tempsí with gifts of appropriate vouchers.
Key Personnel has been providing Temporary and Permanent staff to companies in the East Midlands for 20 years. The company now has branches in Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield and Newark.
