Global recruitment firm, Kelly Services is celebrating 20 years as a leader in the Australian staffing industry.

This month, marks 20 years of operations in Australia and will be celebrated with the visit to Australia of Carl T. Camden, President and Chief Executive Officer, Kelly Services, Inc from 25-26 August.

Established in Australia in 1988 through a series of acquisitions, the business became fully operational just one year later with offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. In the 1990ís the Kelly branch network expanded to Perth and Canberra and saw the launch of Kelly Scientific Resources in 1999.

By 2002, Kelly had more than 20 offices around Australia and furthered its strengths by adding Kelly Engineering Resources.

The Kelly network is now fully operational in all States and Territories with offices opening in Darwin.

Kelly Services, Managing Director James Bowmer said the 20 year anniversary was a sign of how far the organization has travelled in establishing its mark in Australia.

ìKelly has been at the forefront in introducing expertise and innovation and has played a key part in the development of Australiaís competitive recruitment market.

ìHuman capital management is now a critical element in the business environment and many of the lessons from Kellyís worldwide practice network have been used to benefit Australian clients.

ìI am committed to further expanding that reputation for excellence in delivering human capital expertise as we move into our third decade in Australia,î he said.

Amongst the milestones, Kelly Services was one of the first to establish specialist units covering Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing, Vendor Management Solutions and HR Consulting Services.

The Outsourcing and Consulting practice now makes up 25% of Kellyís business and will play a prominent part in the future of the organisation.

ìKelly will continue to strive as leaders in designing and delivering value-add tools, processes and programs to support talent acquisition.

ìToday, faced with a tight labour market and a multi-generational workforce, an important step in Kellyís strategy is to continue to meet the needs of its customers, across all levels of the business, by taking advantage of the industry expertise of qualified consultantsî.

ìThis is a great occasion and for continued success we need to focus on those things that have created this landmark – our established capabilities and the unique partnership created between our staff, customers and candidates,î Mr Bowmer said.
