IT&T Industry outlook from JOBNETís users perspective

According to a recent poll on JOBNET, IT&T Professionals believe that an upturn in the IT industry may still be a long way off.

Approximately 500 respondents entered the ëCareer Boosterí poll; with 22% believing the industry would pick up in the next 6 months and another 26% thinking it would take 12 months. Whilst only 12% thought 18 months was more realistic, a surprising 39% believed the IT industry is looking at 2 years before significant improvement occurs.

In commenting on these results Henry Talbot of JOBNET said ìthe results highlight the uncertainty that exists in the IT workforce as to when they believe conditions may improve. IT Professionals have identified that the IT employment landscape has changed significantly and for the long-term.î
