Update are very pleased with the progress of their new vacancy alert service, providing IT recruitment agencies with live vacancies by email. At least 5 placements have been made so far by their agencies since January and most importantly the recruiting companies are reporting a major improvement in the quality of the response they receive from agencies.
For those familiar with the old Update system of sending out vacancies to 20/30 subscribing agencies this has now been reduced to just 5 agencies so the client is guaranteed a controlled response. Agencies make a small payment of between 150-750 to purchase credits and are then alerted of all the live requirements Update picks up.
Managing Director Anita McMahon who started Update in 1986 says ìWhen we started this business we werenít even using a fax machine to send out the jobs, now technology has enabled agencies to respond so quickly to a vacancy that we had to change to ensure that companies donít get inundatedî.
