IT contractors struggling to find work have been warned not to risk losing a position by lying on their CVs.
According to Contractor UK, the number of job offers made to such freelance IT staff declined by 75 per cent in the run up to Christmas.

Now, staff screening firm Powerchex has warned those looking for employment that they should not risk losing a good opportunity by exaggerating their credentials because they are desperate for work during the recession.

A spokesman for ClickAJob reinforces this perspective, confirming that lies on a CV are the career equivalent of 'certain death.'
