Does the Online Community in recruitment need to sharpen its act?

It is now estimated that 70% of jobseekers now surf the internet for opportunities, and the number of people applying online, while still small, continues to grow and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

By combining an appropriate mix of applicant tracking, job boards and online testing, and other activities, some employers have seen real economic benefits. However, the economics of online recruitment remains fragile and the challenge remains to achieve an acceptable increase in the use of sites by applicants to justify the large amounts of investment required.

Gary Knight from GlaxoSmithKline and Tim Shore from T-Mobile, two of the UKís leading corporate e-Recruitment organisations, will be sharing their experiences of e-Recruitment and proposing ideas and thoughts as to how the Industry can better deliver the potential value that the internet offers.

This meeting is a must for all those involved in online recruitment. We intend to follow the event with a Summer Social which will offer a unique networking opportunity. We look forward to seeing you there.

We should like to thank Guardian Recruitment Solutions for hosting and sponsoring this event.
