The Human Capital Institute (HCI), announced today it has awarded itís first Human Capital Strategist (HCS) designation

Washington D.C. ñ The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a non-profit think tank, educator, and association working to advance talent management strategies and tools, announced today it has awarded itís first Human Capital Strategist (HCS) designation. Lynne Morton, Principle, Performance Improvement (PI) Solutions, became certified after successfully completing classroom, examination and practicum requirements of HCIís Human Capital Management Principles program.

ìItís not surprising that the first person to successfully achieve the Human Capital Strategist designation is someone of Lynne Mortonís caliber,ì said David Forman, HCIís Chief Learning Officer and creator of the intensive certification program. ìMs. Morton is internationally known for her work with Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and non-profits in the areas of leadership development, talent management, organizational effectiveness, communication, and learning. As a management consultant and executive coach, she has helped individuals and organizations define opportunities, build capabilities, and continuously learn and improve.î

The Principles of Human Capital Management certificate program is a highly interactive, uniquely designed program based on the synthesis of the latest research, best practices, and insights from HCIís own research initiatives. The course integrates the full spectrum of talent management functions: strategic planning, acquiring, developing, deploying, retaining and evaluating human capital. Ms. Morton completed the classroom portion of the program with the highest test scores of any participant to date, and completed the practicum by creatively employing HCIís Talent Mindset Index tool while working with one of her clients.

ìIn todayís world, competitive advantage is based on the ingenuity, resourcefulness and skills of people, and new approaches are needed to recognize and leverage an enterpriseís talent,î said Morton. My clients deserve the most innovative strategies and applications to help them be successful. Being certified as a Human Capital Strategist signals to them that I can support them with the best thinking and tools available in the realm of talent management. ì
