Human Capital Institute and Valtera Launch New eLearning Series

Employee Surveys and Organizational Effectiveness

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that it is launching a new Webcast Series called Employee Surveys and Organizational Effectiveness. The series has been developed in cooperation with Valtera, a leading selection and assessment provider, which also underwrites HCI’s Employee Surveys Learning Track.

The four-part interactive learning series will examine the strategic use of surveys to determine employee engagement and retention, improve customer service, build corporate culture, and develop leaders.

The first webcast in the series, How Engaged or Satisfied is Your Workforce: Ways to Find Out and Why It Matters, will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2006, from 12:00PM to 1:30PM EST. The session will examine employee engagement in depth. It will explain how engagement is different from satisfaction, commitment, and other commonly used concepts typically measured by employee surveys. It will also explore the relationship between engagement and corporate strategy, and show how well-designed survey programs can provide the insight necessary to drive strategy forward. In addition, it will address critical implementation and action planning issues, discussing what it takes to make an engagement survey program a viable part of a corporate-wide scorecard.

Employee engagement is a hot topic in the executive suite, and with good reason, said Allan Schweyer, HCI’s Executive Director. An engaged workforce gives an organization tremendous competitive advantage.

Human Capital Institute webcasts feature senior representatives from leading corporations, industry experts, and other thought leaders who share best practices, examine research findings, and provide insight into critical management issues.

Webcasts are powered by iLinc, and are free to all HCI members and registered guests. Participants are eligible to receive re-certification credits from HRCI for each webcast. Those who complete the course by attending all four sessions will gain re-certification credits toward HCI’s Human Capital Strategist designation.
