Careers publisher, Graduate Prospects, has appointed digital agency Underwired (www.underwired.com) to promote its new, web-based graduate recruitment service, Prospects Net (PNet), to the SME market.![]()
Designed to connect SME recruiters with quality graduates, PNet allows advertisers to target specific university careers advisory services within higher education institutions in specific UK locations. It successfully matches recruiters with graduates who have the precise skills and experience they require.
The PNet software stores personal details for recruiters, students and graduates, and provides several additional features including an events management service, and e-guidance and vacancy sharing add-ons.
The first phase of the graduate recruitment product will be launched by an online acquisition campaign starting in May 2007. Underwired has been tasked to raise awareness of PNet through SEO, PPC, highly targeted online advertising and acquisition emails. Customers will then be entered into an email retention and upsell programme. PPC is being handled by Diffiniti.
Underwired has based its approach on the insight that SMEs want to minimise labour intensive CV filtering by targeting their recruitment campaign with great accuracy. The ability to find quality candidates in their chosen areaî is a major USP over competitors in the marketplace.
Leads will be taken to a campaign landing page, where they can register and purchase a package straight away, or enquire about custom-made packages. Recruiters who are not ready to advertise will be able to download a toolkit about SME graduate recruitment, ensuring data capture of warm leads.
Vacancy sharing on PNet allows employers to post vacancies to a specific career service as well as sharing that vacancy with multiple career services throughout the UK - and also on Prospects.ac.uk - without having to post to individual sites. PNet will save recruiters time and effort and provide maximum exposure to niche audiences for each job vacancy.
Sarah Kite, marketing communications manager at Graduate Prospects, comments: ìThis was a complex challenge for any agency but Underwired demonstrated an impressive understanding of the brief and the issues we are likely face with this launch.
Felix Velarde, Underwiredís managing partner, said: We are impressed with Graduate Prospectsí great depth of knowledge across the careers marketplace. We believe our campaign will help PNet become a vital tool for employers recruiting in the graduate market.î
