Glowan launches new L3 leadership learning process

Blended learning program centers on trio of leadership values

The Glowan Consulting Group today introduced the innovative ìL3î Leadership Learning Process for managers and executives, a blended learning program that emphasizes the individual as a leader rather than ìteachingî specific leadership skills. Key elements include a leadership retreat and an extensive post-workshop process, both of which revolve around three leadership pillars.

The L3 process is aimed to facilitate people in becoming the leaders they were meant to be, not adopting the style of someone else. The process includes a two-day, off-site leadership retreat, executive coaching, and skill development in a fully integrated learning plan. The post-workshop component of the process typically lasts from 6 months to one year. The program is conducted by a team of facilitators with broad and deep business and human capital experience. Many facilitators are former successful chief executives.

The leadership development plan is based on the three pillars of leadership:

L1, Leading Self ñ Self leadership is the foundation of becoming a successful leader. Participants assess their work/life integration and set goals for achieving a harmonious blend of the various components of their total life.

L2, Leading With Others ñ L2 emphasizes becoming a collaborative leader. Assessments and case studies are provided to develop strategies and goals for building a collaborative culture back at the workplace.

L3, Leading Others ñ Finally L3 explores the culture of the participantís work team, organization and company. Elements of creating a great place to work are explored and tools and techniques are provided for creating efficiencies and accountability.

Participants in the process receive support from colleagues at work, executive coaches and select Glowan affiliates based upon need. Glowan provides post-workshop support and coaching utilizing the facilitators of the workshop and additional specialists as required. Situationally, more than one coach may be involved with a participant at the same time during the blended learning process.

The process results in participants building leadership skills and gaining knowledge that sticks, while employers benefit by having higher-skilled and more capable executives and managers.
