The British Horseracing Board has introduced an online Job Board as a valuable addition to careersinracing.com, the sportís dedicated careers website. The Board was launched earlier this month and enables employers across the industry to promote vacancies to a large audience free of charge.
All licensed trainers, breeders and other key industry organisations have been written to with details of how the Job Board operates and how they can post their own vacancies online.
Those seeking employment within the industry also have the opportunity to search jobs under different criteria, register to receive alerts when relevant vacancies arise, and apply directly online to potential employers.
As well as promoting vacancies, the Job Board offers support for employees, with advice on how to write a good CV and how to present and perform well at a job interview. For those posting jobs, there is also information on how best to promote and describe individual jobs and how to avoid discrimination, and comply with the necessary employment legislation.
The Job Board forms part of British Racingís overall recruitment strategy and will allow potential employers to reach the ever-increasing audience who choose to look for employment online.
