First Advantage to Sponsor Human Capital Instituteís Effective Hiring Initiatives

.

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, and First Advantage Corporation, which offers a single-source solution for managing domestic and international hiring needs, announced today that First Advantage will sponsor HCIís Effective Hiring learning and research track. The track is one of several topics addressed in HCIís Talent Acquisition community of interest, a community HCI considers critical to organizations working to leverage human capital.

ìEffective hiring isnít merely a matter of achieving efficiencies through automation. Processes and technology must be integrated with other aspects of selection,î said Allan Schweyer, HCIís executive director. ìFirst Advantageís support provides HCI with the means to move forward to provide critical strategies, tools and next practices to help organizations integrate all the aspects of the hiring function.î

The Effective Hiring track looks at how hiring combines elements of selection, including screening/assessment, interviewing and background/reference checking. The track also focuses on elements of investigation, selection, science and intuition. A panel of expert advisors explores best practices in transitioning a new hire from candidate to team member, as well as how to ensure an efficient hand-off from recruiting and HR teams to line management. Webcasts, white papers, education and other resources provide human capital professionals with information they need to optimize their organizationsí talent.

ìThe hiring process, from the initial stages of candidate selection to employee integration, largely determines the success an individual will have with an organization,î said Bart Valdez, president of the Employer Services segment of First Advantage. ìWeíre pleased to support the Human Capital Instituteís efforts in this important area.î

First Advantageís Employer Services segment offers domestic and international organizations recruiting services, applicant tracking software, skills assessments and testing, tax credits screening, background screening, occupational health services and more.
