Fairsail, the leader in Global Workforce Collaboration, today announced IRIS Accountancy Solutions, the UK’s largest unquoted software house, as its latest customer. IRIS is the number one software provider to UK accountancy practitioners and payroll companies, supplying 10 per cent of the UK’s payslips. Fairsail was chosen to revolutionise IRIS HR processes because HR Business Partners within the organisation were losing valuable time and resources thanks to ‘Excel hell’.
IRIS needed a new HR system to support its 410 employees, across 5 UK locations, replacing the company’s core systems with a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution on the Force.com computing platform. It supports over 14,300 UK accountancy practices and businesses improving internal processes to ensure they become more profitable. As a leading technology provider, IRIS believed it should lead by example and use the latest available technology.
IRIS says “As long-term pioneers in software integration, automating key tasks and improving business efficiency for our customers, it seemed ironic we were struggling with our own internal HR. By delivering measurable benefits for our customers, we have gained leading positions in our chosen markets, we wanted the same measurable solution for our internal processes from Fairsail.”
IRIS had a number of key requirements that needed to be met including performance reviews, holiday and absence capabilities, competency assessments, job descriptions, health and safety, general HR admin (reporting, salary, grievances and disciplinaries, diversity) and objective setting. It also needed a system which would act as a collaboration portal. Fairsail was chosen to replace the old HR Pro solution from ASR Computers which was struggling as the company took a more proactive approach to HR.
Project backer, IRIS CEO, Phill Robinson said: “IRIS is a thought-leading enterprise, with a desire to use the latest technology and stay ahead of the competition. The management at IRIS saw an opportunity with Fairsail’s HR and Performance Management Solution to create better staff retention, leading to a better employee experience and ultimately better business performance.”
IRIS will use Fairsail as the central hub for upcoming performance reviews, it will also provide structured feedback and personal goal-setting for all its employees and link these to departmental objectives and company values. These objectives can be reviewed with bonus weighting for all employees, critical to its UK-based workforce.
