Executive job site experiences unprecedented increase in enquiries

Anniversary of launch in UK sees number of job seekers jump by a third in Q1 2009

Anniversary of launch in UK sees number of job seekers jump by a third in Q1 2009.

The number of executive job seekers registering with Experteer.co.uk, increased by a third (34%) in Q1 2009 on Q4 2008 hitting 100,000 for the first time since its launch last April 2008. The pace of growth accelerated significantly throughout the first quarter in an indication of declining job security amongst senior executives. The greatest increases in registrations were recorded amongst travel and real estate professionals. The average salary of registered job seekers on Experteer.co.uk currently stands at 69,700.

Torsten Muth, Managing Director of Experteer.co.uk, commented: ìWe are seeing growing evidence of candidates not just looking for the next step up in their career, but actively preparing for a change in direction due to changing economic circumstances. We are advising executives in the media and tourism professions to consider carefully whether their experience might be relevant to other job functions or other disciplines. In particular we are seeing rising demand for experienced planning and procurement managers to help organisations manage their costs.î

Since its full launch in April 2008 Experteer has championed a new business model in online recruitment aiming to provide senior job seekers with the full picture on available jobs and salaries to make informed decisions on their careers. Unlike other job search sites Experteerís revenues are drawn from job seeker subscriptions and the site is free from job advertisements allowing it to remain unbiased in its presentation of the facts. With sister sites across Europe, Experteerís proprietary Career Matching System alerts each of its current more than 820,000 European members to positions that correspond to their qualifications, experience and career goals, including relevant overseas opportunities in new industries, functions, or at new management levels.
