Euro RSCG launches engage to unite brand marketing and HR

Addressing the disconnect between long term branding strategies and the human resources function, advertising giant Euro RSCG today announces the launch of Euro RSCG Engage

Addressing the disconnect between long term branding strategies and the human resources function, advertising giant Euro RSCG today announces the launch of Euro RSCG Engage.

Whilst todayís HR and marketing directors are all too aware of the need to fill the void between disciplines, in reality there is little practical infrastructure to complete this process. The first communications consultancy of its kind, Euro RSCG Engage will help clients to better understand, target and communicate with todayís complex employee and candidate groups via a suite of bespoke products and technologies designed to improve ROI for recruitment and communication spend.

Co-founded by leading HR and marketing industry figures Nick Brian, Keith Robinson, Martin Cerullo and Alan Whitford, the new company fuses in-depth knowledge from the recruitment and technology arenas with expertise from the world of advertising. At the heart of the offering is the concept of the ëemployment consumerí, a new way of understanding existing and potential employees in a labour market where the power balance has shifted permanently from employer to employee.

Keith Robinson comments: ìIt is amazing that, on the one hand, traditional recruitment methods create high volumes of candidates but fail to engage with the majority of those who apply, whereas on the other hand, mainstream brand marketers spend millions of pounds building a rapport without even consulting HR about how to exploit it. Euro RSCG Engage has developed robust processes, analysis tools and delivery mechanisms to address this new consumer focussed recruitment and retention experience.î

Martin Cerullo adds: ìItís a critical time for recruiters, who are facing a number of challenges. Thereís the ìalways onî jobseeker ushered in by the Internet, coupled with the demographic time-bomb that means that 35 million Europeans will disappear from the labour market in the next ten years. Yet recruitersí greatest challenge still lies in the entrenched corporate and recruitment industry attitudes towards communicating with potential and existing employees.î

Euro RSCG Engage has launched with two clients; Geopost, the shipment, postal and international courier company wholly owned by La Poste, and ST Microelectronics, a global leader in semi-conductor solutions. Engage has been brought on board to provide long-term recruitment communications strategies to help them hire faster, cheaper and more intelligently.

Phil Morris, Managing Director of STMicroelectronicsí UK R&D operation, comments: ìST is a world leader in the strategically important industry of microelectronics, an industry where innovation is crucial. It is therefore very important for us to be able to recruit the best available engineering talent worldwide. We have appointed Euro RSCG Engage to help us in our drive to recruit potential employees in the UK.î
