The Matrix Standard, the national quality mark for the provision of information advice and guidance services, has been awarded to both the home based workers and the Cardiff office of the national training standards organisation, ENTO. This latest accreditation now means that the whole of ENTO has achieved the Matrix Standard.
ENTO’s Head Office in Leicester was originally awarded ’internal’ Matrix accreditation, in recognition of the extremely high standards that it has demonstrated when providing its own employees with information, advice and guidance services. Now ENTO has extended the scope to include its other office in Wales and home based workers.
It took ENTO just six months to achieve Matrix Standard accreditation, which is especially good news for the company ñ as it is actually responsible for the maintenance and promotion of the Matrix Standard, a DfES contract which ENTO has held for almost four years. ENTO has also received Matrix Standard accreditation for one of its external services, The Learning Network, in September 2005.
David Morgan, ENTO’s director of marketing and communications said:
ìAs this organisation works so closely with the Matrix Standard, it was essential that we sought to become accredited, and to expand the accreditation to both offices, to help us to further promote the national quality mark to other organisations.
ìHowever, it is undeniable that the Matrix Standard has contributed to this organisation’s rapid growth and the Cardiff office has been the scene of much of the company’s latest recruitment.î
Formerly the Employment National Training Organisation (Employment NTO), ENTO has enjoyed excellent growth since it began trading just three years ago, and this is most noticeable from the considerable number of staff the company now employs, having grown from four to 50. This is one of the main reasons why the organisation decided to extend its Matrix Standard accreditation to its office in Wales, and home based staff.
The company, which provides products and services to help raise the standards of training offered in the workplace across the UK by developing people who work with people, was highly praised in a number of specific areas for the service it offers to its employees. Areas highlighted included ENTO’s culture, ethos and support, its supportive managers and the staff involvement in feedback mechanisms.
David Morgan finished by saying:
During Matrix Standard accreditation, we realised that we were doing all of the right things to enable us to offer the highest level of IAG to our employees. This, in turn, has strongly confirmed to us that organisations which seek to attain this level of excellence in IAG services for employees or clients, will be far more likely to see an improvement in the performance levels of their operations.
