Economic Conditions Intensify Spotlight on HRO World(R) at Upcoming NY HR Week(TM) Conference

Featured Sessions Include Case Studies by the U.S. Postal Service, Textron, Qualcomm, Hertz Telstra and Hospital Corporation of America-

Designed to help attendees solve the current and future challenges of HR through outsourcing, HRO World will be held Tuesday, May 5 through Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the Hilton New York in New York City. The 7th Annual HRO World is part of the annual NY HR Week(TM) event, which also includes HR in Healthcare(TM) and HR & EEO in the Federal Workplace(TM) as well as the Expo Hall.

This year's program chair is Elliot Clark, a longtime, successful HRO executive. Clark is the CEO of Crossing Media, the publisher of HRO Today magazine. Under his direction, this year's event features timely solutions for organizations that are considering outsourcing, or that are already engaged in the process to ensure successful change management and positive business outcomes. HRO World's program features human resource outsourcing (HRO) and recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) case studies by industry leaders including Hertz, Hospital Corporation of America, Qualcomm, Textron and the U.S. Postal Service, as well as presentations from leading HRO provider The RightThing and industry analysts from NelsonHall.

NY HR Week's keynote speaker will be Steven Greenhouse, labor and workplace columnist for The New York Times and author of The Big Squeeze: Tough Times for the American Worker. He will speak to all three conferences on one of today's most important socioeconomic issues: the forces squeezing America's middle class and the role HR should play in managing the impact on employees. Clark commented, With 598,000 job cuts in January and another 700,000 expected in February, Greenhouse's topic is extremely timely and relevant to all conference attendees.

Other featured presenters include the HROA's executive director, Richard Crespin. Crespin will share those standards currently under consideration by HROA's Research and Standards Committee, giving attendees the opportunity to shape the direction of the HRO industry. Gary Bragar, HR Outsourcing Research Manager with the global BPO analyst firm NelsonHall, will present a session on recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), which is especially meaningful during turbulent economic times when companies need to reduce their recruiting expenses while still hiring high-performing candidates.

Clark will host an HRO industry leaders' panel that will bring together HRO industry executives from the provider, advisory and buyer communities to discuss and debate the future of the HRO industry and its next wave of innovation. This session will be a no holds barred view from the top, with full audience participation.

HRO vendors participating in HRO World include The RightThing, ACS, USr Healthcare, Talent2International, TALX Corp., Kenexa, and Convergys HR Management.

Clark shared, How can attendees justify travel to conferences such as HRO World during these challenging economic times? This is an important question, with an important answer. HRO delivers savings, better services and new approaches to business challenges. To achieve the next wave of growth and adoption, HR professionals need to participate in the collaborative thinking that is fostered by HRO World. The real benefits of HRO World are that attendees learn from others' mistakes, hear of epiphany moments, and validate what they're already doing right. Many companies are experimenting with building better mousetraps in HRO. If we do not listen and learn from the speakers, as well as the attendees, you're missing business-critical information that cannot possibly reside within the four walls of one company or on Google. It's only available by attending HRO World.

Registration for HRO World includes attendance at the conference sessions, continental breakfast each morning, refreshment breaks, luncheons, admission to the Expo Hall and access to online program materials. Back by popular demand in 2009 are Special Interest Pavilions featuring Thought Leaders. Conference and Expo registrants can pre-register for a free 30-minute personal consultation with an HRO or RPO expert to get advice from some of the top minds in the field. Visit www.NYHRWeek.com to register for your appointment.

An early bird discount is available until April 10, 2009, saving $100 off the regular registration rate of $1,095. More information is available at www.HROWorld.com.
