EAR event to explore the link between employee health and bottom line

Driving the link from health to wealth, 14 May 2008, Globe Theatre, London

Employee wellbeing is no longer a ëluxuryí benefit, but an essential part of the business strategy and bottom line. But in such an uncertain economic climate, where organisations are struggling to manage employment costs, will investment in employee wellbeing continue? Can employers really see a defined return from the ever growing investment in their ëgreatest assetí the employee?

Employee Advisory Resource (EAR) is holding an event, at the Globe Theatre, on the 14 May 2008, to explore the link between employee health and bottom line. During this event the panel will explore:

A return on investment model that works for employee wellbeing

Employee Advisory Programmes (EAPs) impact on the bottom line

Difficulties associated with employee absenteeism and strategies to overcome these

Strategies to help employees return to work quickly

How EAPs need to change in the future to ensure they provide the best service and solutions for their customers

Experts on the panel include:

Alan King, Managing Director of Employee Advisory Resource

Ian Rajan, Executive Director, Priory Healthcare

Fiona Robson, Newcastle Business School, expert in managing absence and improving employee wellbeing.

Dr Bertolt Stein, from Mannaz, the Danish Leadership Institute, expert on improving health within organisations.

Alan King, Managing Director of EAR, says: ìRising interest rates and reports about the potential economic downturn are adding to the financial concerns of employers. And while it makes sound business sense for employers to invest in the wellbeing of their people HR need to be sure wellbeing interventions are adding value or face the risk of having them cut.

ìThe challenge for employers is measuring the impact on bottom line to ensure the wellbeing strategy is actually meeting the needs of employees and the business.î
