de Poel, the UK’s number one procurer of temporary agency labour, today announces the appointment of an Advisory Board to help the company build upon its success and achieve its 2013 growth ambitions.
Matthew Sanders, CEO of de Poel comments: “To help us go from strength to strength the company has undertaken an extensive recruitment process to identify five experienced non-executive directors who will form an Advisory Board, alongside de Poel’s Managing Director and Sales and Marketing Director. The board of de Poel has many big plans for how we can grow and diversify the company over the next few years.
“At the same time, we were mindful that execution of those plans would require some skills and contacts that we, as a board, do not currently have. We have been overwhelmed by the quality of candidates who came forward for these roles and, with the appointment of the Advisory Board, to work alongside the executive directors of the company, I couldn’t be more excited about what the next few years hold for de Poel.”
The Advisory Board will meet at least six times a year and will be tasked with helping guide and advise the directors of de Poel in implementing the company’s plans for expansion into Western Europe and the US and with the development and sale of new products and services, as well as helping to drive the sale of de Poel’s core e-tips® product.
The non-executive appointments to de Poel’s Advisory Board are:
- Sir Merrick Cockell: Leader of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Chairman of the Local Government Association, as well as having over 25 years’ experience in international business
- Keith Wyness: An international businessman with over 30 years’ experience as a senior executive and board member with the highest level companies, as well as leading projects in sports, leisure and industry
- Carol Kavanagh: An experienced board level director across B2B and B2C in UK and Europe, and currently Group Human Resources Director for Travis Perkins
