Leading contractor accountancy and payroll specialist Danbro has raised more than £6,800 for its nominated charity, Operation Orphan after hosting a fundraising ball on Saturday 18th May.
The event which was held at the Barton Grange Hotel, Preston welcomed 140 guests for dinner, dancing and a charity auction.
In addition to a raffle and fundraising games – auction items including signed Manchester United memorabilia, hospitality tickets for Manchester City and a chef prepared meal for six, inspired bidders to dig deep.
Danbro managing director Damian Broughton said the event helped to raise much needed funds to assist with Operation Orphan’s international programme of projects.
“As a family company, we feel extremely strongly about the work Operation Orphan does to provide a brighter future for orphans and vulnerable children. As well as supporting the charity with a comprehensive, free of charge accountancy service, we are keen to help raise its profile and further the work it does.
“The Charity Ball was an excellent way to do this and I am delighted with the amount of money raised on the evening.”
Danbro head of new business operations, Fiona Hally, who organised the event said: “The Charity Ball was an evening of fun and entertainment with a very important focus. Everybody who attended learned a great deal about the excellent work Operation Orphan does to provide orphans with a caring environment, place to call home and access to education.
“I would like to thank everybody who attended, donated prizes and gave generously to raise money for the excellent cause.”
